Scheduling Your Visa Interview

Please see below for the steps required to schedule your visa interview:

1. Students needing a student visa must first pay the SEVIS I-901 Fee. 
   • For information regarding the SEVIS I-901 Fee, please review the helpful video tutorial on the Study in the States website & the SEVIS I-901 Fee Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
2. Locate the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country for specific information regarding the student visa process at those locations.
3. Complete the Form DS-160 to request a visa interview. To locate the form, please click here.
4. Once you obtain the F-1 student visa, you will be allowed up to 30 days prior to your program start date to enter the United States. Your program start date can be found on page 1 of your I-20.
